Every dollar you spend at 5518 supports our community. That idea has always been part of who we are—and now we’re taking it a step further.
We’re excited to introduce our new pending charitable organization 501(c)(3): 5518 Gives. We created this to invest directly in the community that has supported 5518 Designs for nearly a decade.
5518 Gives will provide financial support to organizations, projects, and grassroots initiatives working to make our community stronger, more vibrant, and more connected. Our giving will focus on three areas that we believe make a place special: Community Vibrancy, Arts & Culture, and Wellness & Recreation.
That might mean helping build a trail, bringing public art to a neighborhood, expanding access to outdoor recreation, supporting a creative project, or helping turn a good community idea into something real.
5518 Gives will be funded primarily through ongoing contributions from the 5518 Designs retail location, 1% of all sales in the store will be directed to the foundation. In other words, when you shop with us, a portion of every dollar will make its way back into the community.
We’re especially excited about the possibility of supporting the kinds of projects that make our community feel a little more like itself—the trails we explore, the art we create, the events that bring us together, and the places and experiences that give us a sense of belonging.
5518 was built because we believe in Butte and the idea that we could contribute something meaningful to the place we care deeply about. Nearly ten years later, that belief is still at the heart of what we do.
5518 Gives is our next chapter in giving back. And we’re just getting started.
