Big news, neighbors—The Cleveland Market is now open in Uptown Butte! You’ll find it on Galena Street in uptown Butte, and it’s already bringing a fun new vibe to the neighborhood.

The Cleveland Market opened its doors in the old Cleveland Building on East Galena Street, and it’s everything we’ve been hoping for—and more. The space has been lovingly restored, and after sitting unused, it’s alive again with shops, a café, and spots to hang out. Think of it as part market, part gathering spot, and all about celebrating what makes Butte special.

Inside the Market, you’ll find several businesses under one roof:

  • The Local – A market-deli space with grab-and-go food, fresh salads, wraps, take-and-bake items; they’ll also have a soup/salad/hot food bar. Their Uptown location features coffee, smoothies, and drinks, plus local beer & wine.
  • Dancing Rainbow Natural Grocery – Natural, organic groceries in a clean, friendly setting.
Black Dog Creamery – The ice cream shop that’s been stirring up excitement. They’ll offer 12 flavors at a time out of their selection of 64, so expect both favorites and new treats.
  • El Camino Collective – A vintage & home goods store, with lots of character and items perfect for exploring.
  • Morii Salon- Bryna Barfknecht brings years of experience as a hairstylist (and blonde
    specialist!)
  • Work in Progress- a leatherworking store where you can see shoes getting repaired or belts being built, alongside goods from Montana artists.
Something about February- Gift shop specializing in personalized gifts for all occasions.

We invite you to come uptown soon and visit our new neighbors—bring a friend or two, check out the shops, and soak in what Uptown Butte is becoming. It’s not just about new storefronts, but about making this place feel like ours.
