We can’t wait to feel the streets of Uptown Butte buzzing with excitement as our 2025 festival season kicks off! With music and food, to arts, culture, and community, this year’s event lineup is shaping up to be one of the most memorable.

Among the most anticipated events is always the Montana Folk Festival (July 11-13), a cornerstone of Butte’s summer. This international festival brings a diverse mix of musicians, artisans, and storytellers to multiple stages throughout Uptown. Food vendors, makers, and community organizations add a flavor that keeps us be-bopping and two-stepping all weekend long.

But the Folk Festival is just one of many main events along with the Butte Pride Celebration (July 5), the Freedom Festival (July 3), and the Butte 100 mountain bike race (July 19). Ongoing events throughout the summer include the Farmer’s Market every Saturday, Wednesdays at Lunch in the Park, and Thursday evenings at Music on Main.

Many thanks to the organizers, volunteers, and city officials who work closely with organizers to ensure the events remain safe, inclusive, and welcoming for families, tourists, and longtime residents alike. The festivals bring in foot traffic, showcase talent, and remind everyone that Butte knows how to throw a party.

Each July, this community again proves it’s more than just a city with a rich past—it’s a place where people come, celebrate, and create lasting memories now.
