There are so many special places that mean so much to so many. The memories created in our favorite places is the true inspiration behind the signature 5518 art style we call SimplePlaces. This style is driven by simplicity, vibrancy, and fun.
Last fall, 5518 Designs conducted our first photo contest, asking the community to submit photos of our favorite places to be voted on and turned into a design.
The submissions were amazing, ranging from car camping to horseback riding, rivers and beaches. Each deserving of their own design.
The 5518 staff narrowed down the field for public voting on social media. When all the votes were totaled, it was Dylann Bartoletti’s Cliff Jumping photo that received the most tallies.
Our designer, Alycia, got to work creating a SimplePlace version of Dylann’s photo. The design was put into production with our summer lineup and is now available as shirts, long sleeve tees, and stickers.
